Akrapovič rear muffler for Suzuki GSX-S1000

With the Akrapovič Slip-On Line, the brand new GSX-S1000 gets a rear muffler that perfectly reflects the DNA of the radical Street Fighter in terms of design, performance characteristics and sound!

Suzuki has created the GSX-S1000, an uncompromising street fighter that combines the racing performance of the GSX-R with a distinctive futuristic design. State-of-the-art assistance systems give the driver the security of transforming the power and the enormous torque of the four-cylinder engine into the best possible propulsion in every situation.

In order to customize the GSX-S1000 according to the high demands of its riders, Suzuki has launched an extensive range of original accessories. The latest performance part is a rear muffler specially adapted to the GSX-S1000 from the Slip-On Line (Titanium) of the exhaust specialist Akrapovič.

Suzuki is already working closely with the high-energy manufacturer in the MotoGP sector. The highlight of the cooperation for the time being was Joan Mir's MotoGP title in the 2020 season. On this basis, a growing range of tailor-made performance solutions is created, which are available as Suzuki original accessories for customers all over the world.
 
The design of the Akrapovič Slip-On Line for the GSX-S1000 is designed so that the rear muffler fits seamlessly into the taut and angular styling of the motorcycle. The damper shell is made of ultra-light titanium, the connecting tube of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Visually, the appearance of the compact exhaust is rounded off by a handmade carbon fiber end cap and a heat shield that harmonizes perfectly with the bodywork of the Suzuki GSX-S1000. These two eye-catchers are handmade in Akrapovič's in-house carbon fiber department. An Akrapovič logo underlines the exclusivity of the facility.
The Slip-On Line (Titanium) from Akrapovič represents the current state of the art in exhaust tuning. By using racing-proven materials, Akrapovič has managed to create an exhaust that is visibly smaller than the production facility, but still has a state-of-the-art design. The slip-on-line exhaust weighs 41.6 percent less than the standard and results in an increase in power and torque of +2.6 hp (+ 1.9 kW) at 10,250 rpm and +1.6 Nm at 9,900 rpm respectively compared to the standard exhaust, which was proven in extensive test runs on the Akrapovič test bench. The throttle response is also optimized, resulting in even better controllability of the powerful unit.

In an elaborate development process, the sound engineers have given the exhaust system a deeper, fuller and even sportier sound, which corresponds entirely to the radical character of the GSX-S1000.
The exhaust is Euro5 compliant and has an EC/ECE type approval. The installation is very simple according to the plug-and-play principle, no adjustments to the mapping are required.
The Suzuki GSX-S1000 was created to conquer the road, the matching soundtrack is provided by the Akrapovič rear muffler. "With the Akrapovič Slip-On Line, your GSX-S1000 will be even sharper at the top, the sound has absolute goosebumps factor," motoGP world champion and Team Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP rider Joan Mir describes his impressions after a test ride.
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) for the Suzuki GSX-S1000 (item no.: 99190-48K00-000) will be available from winter 2021 at authorized dealers. The RRP (gross) of Suzuki Deutschland GmbH is 899, - Euro.
