Limited special edition of the Trident 660 for 2025
Following the huge success of last year's Trident Triple Tribute special series, TRIUMPH Motorcycles is once again launching an eye-catching and racing-inspired special series of the popular Trident 660 for 2025. This scores with all the performance features and driver-oriented technologies of the latest generation of the popular mid-range triple. These features include a Sport riding mode for more direct throttle response and an even better riding experience, as well as cornering ABS and cornering traction control. On top of that, the TRIUMPH "Shift Assist" Quickshifter ensures smooth, clutch-free gear changes in both directions.
The Special Edition retains its racing-inspired look and pays homage to TRIUMPH's iconic Slippery Sam race bike, which won the Isle of Man TT five times. As a modern tribute to these successes – and in contrast to last year's special edition – the design of the new bike is in glossy Sapphire Black. In contrast to this are the eye-catching color accents in Cobalt Blue and Diablo Red, which run across the tank and the front end. With the number "67" on the tank – the starting number of "Slippery Sam" – TRIUMPH builds a bridge to the most famous Trident in the company's history.
The Diablo Red rims give the new Special Edition a distinctive presence, while the Sapphire Black Fly Screen with matching Triple Tribute graphic details enhances the front silhouette. The modern look is rounded off by an aluminium front spoiler, which provides a sporty profile as standard. The eye-catching design ties in with TRIUMPH's racing tradition and gives the Trident Triple Tribute an unmistakable character. As with last year's series, if you want this special motorcycle, you shouldn't wait too long, because the new "TTT" will only be produced in limited numbers.
Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer of TRIUMPH Motorcycles, said: "This mid-size roadster continues to be incredibly popular in a highly competitive category and is gaining more fans with each new update. Following the launch of the latest generation of the Trident last September and the global success of the special edition Trident Triple Tribute in 2024, we wanted to meet our customers' requests with an update this year. The striking design and exceptional workmanship are a real eye-catcher, while the power of the three-cylinder engine and the driver-oriented technologies make even the daily commute an experience."
Elaborately designed: the many unique details make the new "TTT" a special Trident
THREE-CYLINDER PERFORMANCE
The Trident 660's three-cylinder engine , which is specially tuned for the Trident, meets the Euro 5+ standard and delivers a peak output of 81 hp at 10,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 64 Nm at 6,250 rpm. This ensures a smooth and responsive power delivery in all speed ranges. The linear torque curve and the ride-by-wire throttle body ensure intuitive power delivery, whether in city traffic or on country roads.
Thanks to advanced engine management, the 660 responds immediately to all the rider's commands, while engine parts optimised in terms of inertia ensure slight revving, underlining the sporty all-round character of the bike. A compactly designed single silencer with high-quality stainless steel end panel ensures a deep three-cylinder sound.
In Europe, an A2 conversion kit is available as an accessory , with a specific electronic throttle grip and a special engine tuning, which limits peak power to 48 hp (35 kW) and maximum torque to 59 Nm. This reduction can be easily reversed at the dealer once the driver has acquired the unlimited driver's license.
The six-speed gearbox with optimally tuned ratios ensures a relaxed driving experience and is further enhanced by the standard TRIUMPH Shift Assist Quickshifter for smooth, clutch-free gear changes in both directions.
PRECISE AND AGILE HANDLING
The Trident's lightweight tubular steel chassis and high-quality chassis components give the rider a secure feeling and optimal control. Showa's 41mm Big Piston upside-down fork with separate functions in the two fork tubes and an adjustable preload central shock absorber are perfectly tuned for agile handling and control in all riding conditions.
The Michelin Road 5 tyres provide reliable grip in all conditions for safety in wet and dry conditions, while the two Nissin two-piston calipers with 310 mm rotors deliver well-modulated, progressive braking power that matches the performance of the Trident.
DRIVER-CENTRIC TECHNOLOGY
New for the 2025 model year is the cornering ABS, which uses data from the internal measuring unit (IMU) to adjust the braking parameters in the lean position and thus ensures optimum braking performance in corners. The cornering traction control, also new, adjusts the power according to lean angle and grip and has three modes selectable by the rider.
In addition, for the first time, the new Trident 660 comes with cruise control as standard, which increases comfort on longer journeys, while TRIUMPH Shift Assist enables smooth gear changes without the need for a clutch.
With three riding modes – Road, Rain and now Sport – the throttle response and traction settings can be adapted to the road conditions or driving style. These riding modes can be easily accessed via the instrument and handlebar controls, which also support the standard My TRIUMPH Connectivity System. This allows drivers to integrate their smartphone, music and arrow navigation.
The Trident 660 has full LED lighting and for added safety, an immobilizer is integrated into the ignition key.
CLIMB UP AND FEEL GOOD
An upright, neutral riding position and an ergonomically designed seat make the Trident feel instantly familiar. The low seat height of 805 mm and the low weight of 190 kg with a full tank give riders of all sizes a safe feeling and good control. The Trident is light and easy to maneuver at low speeds, making it very suitable for novice riders. With a slim tank, wide handlebars and a smooth-running clutch, everything about it is designed to reduce fatigue. In any case, the Trident scores as an agile all-round vehicle with maximum fun factor.
INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT
The Trident Triple Tribute can be customised with a choice of 32 accessories . These include parts for protection and care, technology upgrades, even more style and high-quality details, for more comfort and practicality as well as added safety.
Protection and care includes a rubber tank pad, custom frame and engine cover protectors, CNC-machined fork guards, as well as a muc-off cleaning kit, weather cover, and battery charger. The technology accessory allows customers to add a convenient USB charging socket under the seat, stylish, minimalist LED turn signals, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Waterproof luggage options have been specially developed for the Trident, including a quick-release tank bag and tail bag.
Handlebar end mirrors milled from solid and other noble accessories for various details round off the range. The Trident is also prepared for retrofitting with internally wired heated grips with integrated switch and ergonomically designed pillion grips.
For added security, the range includes the TRIUMPH Protect+ alarm system, the TRIUMPH Track+ tracker with 24/7 monitoring and security accessories such as a U-lock, brake disc locks, ground anchors and chain. All TRIUMPH accessories have been specially developed for our motorcycles and manufactured to the same strict standards.
ON THE ROAD
The Triple Tribute Edition of the Trident 660 will be available from TRIUMPH dealers from the end of May 2025 at a price of 8,445 euros – only 150 euros more than the standard model costs. It therefore offers a very attractive overall package – including the long maintenance intervals of 16,000 km (or 12 months, whichever comes first) and a full 4-year manufacturer's warranty with no mileage limit.
