BMW presents new S 1000 RR - lighter and faster

The new BMW S 1000 RR recently celebrated its world premiere. With a completely newly developed engine and chassis as well as a 6 kW (8 hp) increased engine power from 207 hp and a weight reduction from 208 kg to 197 kg (with M package 193.5 kg), the super sports car, which was introduced for the first time in 2009, is entering its third, completely new generation. According to BMW, the focus was on making the new RR at least one second faster than the foreman, making it more user-friendly and providing it with maximum controllability and driveability, in addition to the increased performance. BMW has therefore completely redesigned assistance systems such as traction and wheelie control, ABS, Hillstart Control as well as the equipment with LED lighting system and large TFT display.
