Two new versions of the Peugeot Metropolis:

SW with plenty of storage space and GT for sporty design

Peugeot Motocycles presents its two latest versions of the Peugeot Metropolis tricycle scooter, the flagship of the product range. With its additional luggage compartment, the Peugeot Metropolis SW offers generous storage space: with a total volume of 76 litres, objects with a length of up to 90 cm can be accommodated. The new Peugeot Metropolis GT is the sporty brother and convinces with its sporty paintwork, a short, tinted windshield, a captivating satin titanium color and a flat aluminum floor. The two new versions will be available in Germany from June 2021. The Peugeot Metropolis can be driven with a class B car driver's license.

THE PEUGEOT METROPLIS AT A GLANCE

The silhouette and lines of the Peugeot Metropolis tricycle scooter reflect the design DNA of the Peugeot brand. Sleek and aesthetic, the series offers a design that meets the requirements of a demanding clientele. Stylized canines of a lion at the front and three red claws as taillights testify to Peugeot's signature.

The advanced technologies borrowed from the automobile (ABS anti-lock braking system, automatic hazard lights in emergency braking, Smart Key) and stability make the Peugeot Metropolis the ideal companion for any journey. The anti-tilt system locks the front wheels, so that drivers never have to put their foot down.

The Peugeot Metropolis is one of the most technologically advanced three-wheeled vehicles on the market. Its biggest asset: connectivity.
The connectivity integrated in the Peugeot Metropolis (with the exception of the Active version) offers comfort and safety thanks to i-Connect technology and the intelligent dashboard. The dashboard, which is connected to the Peugeot Motocycles app via smartphone, offers a turn-by-turn guidance system and makes it possible to call up SMS notifications at a glance when the vehicle is at a standstill.
For even more safety, the dashboard has been raised so that a natural and comfortable driving position is possible and the road can be kept in mind.

All these new features represent great advantages for motorists who are still hesitant before switching to a three-wheeled scooter.
The Peugeot Metropolis's 400cc Euro 5 PowerMotion engine is the result of the know-how and perseverance of Peugeot Motocycles engineers.

This new engine is manufactured entirely in France and develops 26.2 kW (35.6 hp) and 38.1 Nm of torque. As a new development on the market, it offers the most efficient services in its category. Its increased torque at low revs and its LFE technology ensure a more pleasant, quiet and economical ride.
The engine of the Peugeot Metropolis has been designed to minimise fuel consumption. Its range is up to 300 kilometers with a tank of 13 liters, which allows safe driving on the highway and long journeys.

As for comfort, the Peugeot Metropolis has a wide seat and a large load capacity. It has thus quickly become a symbol of the unity of practicality, performance and high standards. It offers the practicality of a two-wheeler and the comfort and equipment of a sedan.

The typical design of Peugeot, i-Connect, Smart Key, adjustable windshield and backrest, padded trunk and flat floor: the comfort and ease of use are groundbreaking in the category of two- and three-wheelers.

The new versions Peugeot Metropolis SW and GT are presented by the French manufacturer in addition to the Peugeot Metropolis Active and the Peugeot Metropolis Allure.

NEW PEUGEOT METROPOLIS SW
The brand's customer-focused teams have designed the SW version of the Peugeot Metropolis for drivers who want plenty of storage space.
The upper trunk combines utility with aesthetics, crowning the vehicle for a harmonious line that is fully integrated into the design.

TWO INTEGRATED STORAGE COMPARTMENTS

The new Peugeot Metropolis SW makes no compromises and offers a design that meets the requirements and expectations of a particularly demanding clientele. Thanks to its upper trunk, which has been designed and conceived in such a way that it integrates perfectly into the vehicle as a whole, the luggage has plenty of space for sports, travel, or business. This integrated upper trunk with a capacity of 54 liters can accommodate two full-face helmets and can be opened at the touch of a button, without an additional key.

Another and spacious 22-liter trunk is located under the seat. It offers the Peugeot Metropolis SW for long objects up to 90 cm – more storage space than ever before. Lined with protective felt, it guarantees the gentle transport of personal belongings.

COMFORT

Peugeot Motocycles engineers have developed multi-adjustable shock absorbers with expansion tanks. Drivers can easily adjust the shock absorbers to the respective load with the help of a rotary knob to ensure optimum driving comfort every time they drive. The shock absorbers guarantee comfort in all conditions for the driver and front passenger.

The design of the seat has also been further developed for more comfort. The seat is completely ergonomic and subtly follows the lines of the scooter tail up to the ideally integrated passenger backrest. This is also ergonomically shaped and offers exceptional comfort for an even more pleasant ride for two.

NEW PEUGEOT METROPOLIS GT
Thanks to its decidedly modern, sporty look, its double fully adjustable gas shock absorbers, its aluminum bottom and its "naked" handlebar, the new Peugeot Metropolis GT is a strong companion that stands out.

The new Peugeot Metropolis GT stands out for its sporty paintwork, a short, tinted windshield, a striking "Satin Titanium" colour and a flat aluminium floor. In doing so, it underlines its GT personality. To emphasize the sporty aspect of this version, the Peugeot Metropolis GT is equipped with shiny black 13-inch aluminum rims with yellow design elements, as well as a "naked" handlebar inspired by motorcycle markings, giving it a dynamic look. The designation "GT" engraved on the handlebars and the repositioning of the buttons for the parking brake and hazard warning lights further enhance the sporty image of the vehicle.

Like the new Peugeot Metropolis SW, the GT version also features double fully adjustable gas shock absorbers that adapt to the load and ensure optimum driving comfort in all conditions and on all roads.

TRICYCLES, A FRENCH STORY

Europe is now the world's largest market for three-wheeled scooters, led by four countries: France, Germany, Italy and Spain. In France alone, more than 50 percent of European sales are generated. Innovative, efficient and safe, the three-wheeled scooter has become a must for urban mobility.
