Motorcycle Manufacturers Market Shares April 2025
Honda lose again ahead of BMW, KTM and Suzuki
Graphic: Motorradtest.deChange over previous year: -20%
The registration figures for April 2025 are in. Unfortunately, things don't look good: A total of only 13,782 motorcycles (everything except 125cc and scooters) were sold or newly registered. This is exactly 20.2% fewer aircraft than in April 2024.KTM (-76%) and Suzuki (-41%) suffered the most. Suzuki has even flown out of the top 10, instead Aprilia is now there with a market share of 2.53 percent. No big surprise is Honda's top position just ahead of BMW. Honda's pricing policy is therefore having a full impact on sales. Whether you can still earn a lot of money with it is another matter. The fact that KTM crashed so badly shouldn't really surprise anyone. It is still not clear what will happen to the Austrians, so consumers are exercising noble restraint. Let's hope that
the problems will be brought under control and a financier will be found in the next few days. In any case, we are keeping our fingers crossed for the Austrians!!
There are no big surprises with the best-selling models. The GS is still in 1st place, but the gap to 2nd place (Kawa Z900) has shrunk significantly. The new Hornet 1000 has made it into the top 10 as we predicted.
