2020 HARLEY-DAVIDSON

NEW MODELS AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES

The debut of the electric-powered LiveWire and the return of the popular Low Rider S
New models and new technologies will make Harley-Davidson 2020's model portfolio even more attractive and diverse. With the new Low Rider S, Harley-Davidson is expanding the Softail family with a bike with dynamic style and impressive performance. Also new in the range are the electrically driven LiveWire and the new Trike CVO Tri Glide, an uncompromising three-wheeled vehicle. Also new for 2020 are H-D Connect*, which provides the driver with information about the vehicle via the mobile phone app via the smartphone, and the Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS), an electronic assistance system package for selected models that includes, among other things, a curve ABS (C-ABS) and a curve traction control (C-TCS).

The Harley-Davidson LiveWire: a completely new motorcycle experience
The LiveWire is a completely new, electrically powered motorcycle. It is as fascinating as it is powerful, offering a very dynamic driving experience, an impressive design and the incomparable feel of a real Harley-Davidson. Powered by the new Revelation E-motor with its high, immediate and unretrievable torque, the LiveWire features powerful acceleration and impressive pull-through – without domes and without shifting. With a range of around 158 kilometers (98 miles)** – determined in the WMTC test cycle – it is tailored to an urban environment. The LiveWire is the first model in a future e-portfolio of the company, with which it wants to become one of the market leaders in electrically driven two-wheelers.

The new Low Rider S combines power and style
The new Low Rider S offers plenty of power and agile handling in combination with classic strength of character. The handling of the stable Softail chassis is optimised by high-quality chassis components that are tailored to a dynamic driving style and optimally harmonize with the performance of the powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. A handlebar riser, a skimpy headlight panel and a black finish on numerous surfaces contribute to the Coastal Custom look.

New technologies
H-D Connect* provides the driver with information about his vehicle via the Harley-Davidson app via the smartphone. It is available for selected Harley-Davidson models and ensures that the driver is always connected to his machine, even if the two are spatially separated from each other. Various information on the vehicle condition can then be retrieved via the smartphone. The system also allows the owner to monitor the motorcycle remotely. If unauthorized persons are bothered by the machine or move it, he will receive a corresponding notice. The Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) electronic assistance system package combines state-of-the-art chassis, brake and drive technology to adjust the acceleration and deceleration forces to the available tire adhesion. RDRS is standard on The LiveWire, Trikes, CVO types and the Touring Models Road King Special, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, Ultra Limited and the new Road Glide Limited in the 2020 model year.

The new Road Glide Limited and the Touring models
The new Road Glide Limited replaces the Road Glide Ultra in the 2020 model year and features new luxury features including pinstripes, a painted interior trim with a high-gloss finish, heated handlebar handles, Slicer II wheels in the Contrast Bright Finish, and new emblems on the tank and both fenders. As the ultimate long-distance motorcycle, it wears the distinctive and aerodynamically inexpensive Sharknose cladding, whose triple-vent ventilation channels reduce turbulence in the helmet area to a minimum. The standard Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine provides powerful driving performance and the bright Daymaker LED double headlight ensures outstanding illumination at night. The Premium Touring chassis has an easily accessible adjustment mechanism of the rear spring preload for convenient adjustment to the load. The Reflex assistance system package with integrated curve ABS guarantees maximum safety. Comprehensive navigation, communication and entertainment features are the boom! Box GTS infotainment system with color touchscreen. For the 2020 model year, the new optionally available Black Finish gives the Ultra Limited and Road Glide Limited models a sombre look. It includes Slicer II alloy wheels in Gloss Black, emblems on tank and fenders in Gloss Black with anthracite-coloured frame, a gloss black powder-coated drive with exhaust system and black hardware on the Tour-Pak. The tank console, the footboards, the handlebars, the decorative rings of instruments and headlights, the levers and pedals, the stand pipes and covers of the telefork as well as the protective covers of the engine and suitcases are also kept in black during the Black Finish.

The CVO models: ultimate luxury and classic design
For the 2020 model year, the CVO family includes the new CVO Tri Glidein addition to the luxury special models CVO Limited and CVO Street Glide. The CVO models, which are aimed at the most demanding interested parties, are ex-works. They offer breathtaking paintwork, state-of-the-art technology and exclusive components and are manufactured with an incomparable attention to detail to the highest quality standards. The Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, the most powerful off-the-engine drive from Harley-Davidson, is exclusively reserved for CVO models.
