Motorcycle new registrations January 2020

The year is off to a good start ...

The year 2020 starts well in terms of new motorcycle registrations. A total of 4,446 bikes were sold. This is an increase of a whopping 37 percent compared to January 2019! However, one should be careful to read from this a trend for 2020, because relatively few motorcycles are sold in January due to seasonal factors.

The winner of January is without question BMW. With 1,276 motorcycles, BMW sold almost 30 percent more bikes than in the same month last year. Amazing: In addition to the 1250 GS, two 1250 boxer bikes made it into the top 10 with the R 1250 R and the RS. The year also started well for Honda and KTM. The start of the year is not so good for Yamaha and Kawasaki. But as I said, this can look completely different by April at the latest, when the season really gets going.
