As part of the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on Lake Como, BMW Motorrad unveils its latest creation for the superbike segment:
the BMW Motorrad Concept RR as the ultimate high-performance statement in terms of technology and design for the future generation of BMW Motorrad RR models.

BMW Motorrad pursues motorsport out of passion and conviction – on the slopes of the Superbike World Championship as well as in numerous national and international championships. Every day, the BMW Motorrad team lives the symbiosis of engineering skills and an irrepressible will to achieve top performance. This dedication is reflected in every detail of our superbikes, and the valuable insights from racing are incorporated into our production models.

On the drive side, the BMW Motorrad Concept RR is based on the water-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine of the world champion machine from the FIM Superbike World Championship, which already delivers more than 230 hp (169 kW) of power today. Thus, it already promises pure adrenaline on the drive side and underpins its claim to leadership in the superbike segment. This goes hand in hand with the electronic control and regulation systems that come directly from the WSBK M 1000 RR, such as the engine management, traction control or engine braking.

New standards in lightweight construction and aerodynamics.

Thanks to innovative manufacturing techniques and the use of high-tech materials such as carbon and aluminium, the BMW Motorrad Concept RR sets new standards in lightweight construction. From the frame to the smallest component, every detail is consistently trimmed for lightweight construction and performance. The design also follows this principle: sharp, targeted, expressive – with stamped RR lettering in the rear and illuminated RR symbol on the underside of the filigree aluminium rear.

The BMW Motorrad developers paid particular attention to aerodynamics, in particular to the difficult-to-reconcile objectives of "riding stability at very high speeds", "maximum cornering speeds" and "lowest possible drag for optimum top speed". The Concept RR achieves these competing goals by means of an unrivalled compact package, reduced external add-on parts and increased precision of the air flow, also through the interior of the motorcycle – from the flooded front to the monolithic, aerodynamically optimised rear, which is also flowed through.
In addition, the concept bike is equipped with an aerodynamically optimised fairing with integrated winglets and high-performance brakes – uncompromisingly perfected for ambitious super-sporty use on the road through to professional racing.

For more than 45 years, BMW Motorrad has consistently implemented the claim to make motorcycling as safe and comfortable as possible with perfectly designed clothing and, at the same time, to make the motorcycle lifestyle as stylish as possible with attractive fashion, and today offers a comprehensive range in the field of riders gear and casual wear. Once again, BMW Motorrad's maxim is to make what already exists even better and at the same time develop new innovative solutions. Accordingly, a separate lifestyle jacket was developed on the occasion of the presentation of the BMW Motorrad Concept RR: the Concept RR LTD jacket, which is limited to 50 units. A masterpiece made of fine calfskin nappa leather, manufactured in cooperation with the traditional Bavarian company MEINDL, this jacket combines motorsport flair with the highest level of craftsmanship and exclusivity.
