Motorcycle new registrations are growing strongly

The motorcycle market is also extremely strong in July 2020. The overall market is growing by a whopping 55 percent compared to the previous year. For motorcycles (motorcycles over 125 cc without scooters), the growth rate is strong 41.25 percent. The winners are mainly Kawasaki and Honda.

Looking at the manufacturers as a whole, BMW lost about 4 percent in the period January to July compared to 2019, although the R 1250 GS is still the best-selling machine. At Kawasaki, the Nakeds Z900 and Z650 are the strongest draught horses in places 2 and 4. The manufacturers Royal Enfield (up 37 percent) and Indian Motorcycles (up 46 percent) are the most likely to gain in percentage terms. In absolute terms, however, these two Herstllers are still in 11th and 12th place. Aprilia suffered the largest loss of machines sold, down 21.6 percent.
