The Superbikes and Hyper Naked Bikes will start the coming season even more dynamically.
The new BMW M 1000 RR, BMW S 1000 RR, BMW M 1000 R and BMW S 1000 R: The Superbikes and Hyper Naked Bikes will start the coming season even more dynamically.
Both the two superbikes M 1000 RR and S 1000 RR as well as the emotive hyper naked bikes M 1000 R and S 1000 R are starting the coming motorcycle season with a technical and visual overhaul and with extended series features. Overarching changes include the Euro 5+ homologation of the drives and the equipment with M short-stroke throttle grip with a reduced rotation angle.
BMW M 1000 RR: Drastically increased performance thanks to more power, stronger downforce and steering angle sensors.
The new M 1000 RR – M RR for short – benefits from a significant increase in the performance of the in-line four-cylinder engine by 4 kW (6 hp) to 160 kW (218 hp) thanks to a comprehensive package of measures.
It also has optimised aerodynamics thanks to a newly designed fairing in the front area. Even faster lap times on the racetrack are supported by the newly designed M Winglets 3.0 with drastically increased downforce. In addition, the Flex Frame has been further developed and now has a new engine mount on the left side.
BMW Motorrad also lent a hand to the control systems. For example, the Dynamic Traction Control DTC has the new Slide Control function thanks to steering angle sensors. This gave the DTC a new division into Slip Control and Slide Control. The introduction of the steering angle sensor system is also due to the new Brake Slide Assist function of the BMW Race ABS Pro. In combination with the M short-stroke throttle grip, this results in significantly increased performance and control.
As before, the new M RR is offered in two versions: the M 1000 RR basic variant in the basic colour Lighwhite uni and the M 1000 RR M Competition in the basic colour Blackstorm metallic, each in combination with the graphics in M colours.
BMW S 1000 RR: Even higher racetrack performance and significantly increased standard equipment.
Especially with regard to racetrack operation, the S 1000 RR – Double R for short – has also been significantly sharpened. Through the
With the short-stroke throttle grip, the S 1000 RR reacts even more directly to every command on the throttle, new winglets provide even more downforce, a new front wheel cover with integrated brake ducts improves brake cooling and new fairing side panels provide an even more striking design.
In addition, the standard equipment of the Double R has been significantly increased. Riding modes Pro is now on board as standard – with additional driving modes "Race Pro", two further combinations of throttle response and drive torque as well as the Engine Brake and Hill Start Control Pro functions, five-way adjustable ABS in the "Race Pro" modes and the ABS setting "Slick". Another new standard feature is the Dynamic Brake Assist (DBC).
The new S 1000 RR is available in three attractive colour combinations. As a basic variant in Blackstorm metallic, as a Sport model variant in Bluestone metallic with matt graphic applications and the M Motorsport variant in conjunction with the M package in Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport.
BMW M 1000 R: Fine-tuning for the M Hyper Naked Bike.
For the coming season, the M 1000 R – M R for short – has been given an even more dynamic design with the new dual-flow LED headlight derived from the RR models and the M logo in the air intake between the headlights.
The new M 1000 R is available as a basic variant in the colour scheme Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport and in the new colour scheme White Aluminium metallic matt. In the M Competition trim level, this paint finish is also available in addition to the Blackstorm metallic/M Motorsport colour scheme.
The rear subframe and swingarm in Platinum Grey metallic blend in with all colour schemes of the new model year. In keeping with this, the winglets are kept in black textured lacquer. The covers for the clutch and generator are also coated in black.
The DTC traction control system has also been revised. The rule strategy was derived from the RR models and, in combination with the M short-stroke throttle grip, brings a noticeable improvement, especially in race mode for track days.
An extended range of original BMW Motorrad accessories and optional equipment rounds off the scope of changes.
BMW S 1000 R: Hyper naked bike with increased performance and extended range of standard equipment.
The Hyper Naked Bike S 1000 R – Single-R for short – is now being launched with an even more powerful in-line four-cylinder engine. 125 kW (170 hp) of power is now available on demand. In addition, a shorter secondary gear ratio ensures increased sprint performance. Even smoother gear shifts are supported by the optimised standard Shift Assistant Pro. In combination with the new
M short-stroke throttle grip results in a much more dynamic design and noticeably better acceleration in every situation. In addition, the DTC traction control system of the S 1000 R benefits from the revision of the DTC from the M 1000 R and further increases the existing performance.
The new Single-R also features the new dual-flow LED headlight derived from the RR models for an even more striking appearance. The extended range of series features of the
The S 1000 R includes engine drag torque control (MSR) with configurable "Engine Brake", a short license plate holder, a USB-C charging socket under the seat and the intelligent emergency call E-Call.
The new Single-R is offered in three attractive colour combinations. As a basic variant in Blackstorm metallic, as a Sport model variant in Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow and in conjunction with the M package in Lightwhite uni / M Motorsport.
