One of the oldest independent and globally recognized design institutions, the "iF International Forum Design", has awarded the motorcycle communication module Bike-to-Bike with the "iF Design Award 2020".
When using the bike-to-bike communication module, the range between two machines is up to 300 meters. In a group, distances of up to two kilometres can be bridged under optimal conditions. A free app allows you to choose between a private and a public mode. In public mode, more than six motorcycles can be connected.
To match this, BMW Motorrad offers the Fit-for-All communication system, which can be integrated into almost any helmet. In addition to the wireless voice connection between the driver and the passenger, the system enables communication with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Announcements from the BMW Motorrad Navigator can also be received or telephone calls can be made if a corresponding smartphone is on board. The same applies to music playback via the BMW audio system or compatible end devices, including the passenger. The automatic suppression of noise, the clear music reproduction and the high voice quality ensure a pleasant communication experience while driving – with an operating time of up to 8 hours (560 mAh).
