More than a quarter of a century ago, Suzuki ushered in the era of maxi scooters suitable for travel with the BURGMAN 400. Luxury, comfort and dynamism also characterise the current generation. Technically up to date, the popular large scooter goes into the 2026 model year with minor updates and new colors.

Powerful engine with modern technology
The 400 cm 3-DOHC engine of the BURGMAN 400 impresses with a balance between powerful torque in the low and medium speed range and revving pleasure for sporty acceleration processes.

The generous air filter volume ensures precise throttle response and thus contributes to relaxed progress in stop-and-go traffic. The distinctive intake noise of the airbox located under the seat underlines the powerful character of the 30 hp (22 kW) single-cylinder engine.

Two durable Iridium spark plugs provide a high combustion speed, which translates into high fuel efficiency and stable power delivery when driving.

High-quality chassis
In line with its dynamic performance, the BURGMAN 400 has a high-quality chassis with telescopic fork and a suspension strut that is articulated by levers. On the monoshock, the spring preload can be adjusted sevenfold, so that effective adaptation to different load conditions is possible.

The high-quality cast wheels in the size combination of 15 inches at the front and 13 inches at the rear ensure an active synthesis of high-speed stability and agility.

The ABS-assisted brake system with a 260 mm double disc at the front and a single 210 mm disc at the rear ensures safe deceleration even with a sporty driving style.

Comfort and practical benefits
On long distances and in city traffic, the Suzuki BURGMAN 400 offers a high level of comfort. Thanks to the high-quality upholstery, long stages can be completed without compromise on the generously dimensioned seat, even in pairs. The aerodynamically optimised fairing, in combination with the generous windscreen, provides effective weather protection even at higher speeds.

Smaller luggage or helmets can be stored in the 42-litre storage compartment under the seat. If more luggage is needed for longer tours, it can be stowed in the 47-litre top case from the extensive Suzuki accessories range.

The Suzuki BURGMAN 400 in model year 2026
The BURGMAN 400 meets the current Euro 5+ emission standard with its modern DOHC engine with dual ignition.

A noble detail that underlines the high-quality overall impression of the maxi scooter is the new cover of the rear silencer.

The colours available for the latest model year are Pearl Mat Shadow Green (QU5), Metallic Reflective Blue (QT8) and Metallic Mat Black No.2 (YKV).

The new BURGMAN 400 is now available at a price of € 8,500 (RRP ex works, plus additional costs) from Suzuki dealers.
