Yes, what can you say: We love to ride motorcycles and if we don't do that, then at least we talk about it. And so Volker, Dietmar, Markus and special dog Hugo sat down again to talk about which features on the motorcycle are particularly close to their hearts. As always, the three sometimes digress properly, but what the heck, the result is the following:
FEATURE 1: Heated grips
Well, getting in right away with the heated grips is certainly not a sign of significant hardness. But that's just the way it is and especially frostbite Markus doesn't want to miss this achievement anymore. Wimp ;-)!
FEATURE 2: neat luggage solution
Okay, that makes sense if you do longer tours, travel or even hire as pizza boats.
FEATURE 2 1/2: ;-)
Here we still wonder if this passes as a feature. Volker (our hottest ;-)) but thinks this is immensely important and basically we support this assessment all along the line!
FEATURE 3: comfortable bench seat
Well, a few decades ago you probably didn't think so much about it. Today we find old sacks but that very important!
FEATURE 4: ABS
We didn't have everything before, but na logo, safety first! Having is better than needing!
FEATURE 4 1/2: good brakes
Of course, if you want to accelerate, you also need good brakes. Especially on the motorcycle, it is important to come to a stop at short notice. With newer machines, however, almost a matter of course.
FEATURE 5: Mirror / View to the rear
Here, too, the three of us are basically in agreement. Dietmar in particular attaches great importance to a good view to the rear. Volker compensates for this in case of doubt with full throttle ;-).
FEATURE 6: smooth-running clutch
Compared to the old days, it is also here (similar to the brakes) that almost every modern motorcycle ensures this. But Dietmar is right, that doesn't make things less important.
FEATURE 7: Gear indicator
Today also a quite common feature. And indeed, you can get used to such things. Even if it may not be decisive for the war.
FEATURE 8: good light
Seeing and being seen has always been an extremely important point in motorcycling. And there is really nothing to add.
FEATURE 9: Helmschloß
Trifles. But as so often, it is often the small, simple things that are so practical.
FEATURE 10: Tyre pressure monitoring system
It makes sense, even if there are other ways to keep an eye on the right tyre pressure. However, this is indeed a very important criterion when riding a motorcycle!
