New: BMW 850 GS Adventure

For more than ten years, the GS models of the BMW F series have been offering their mid-range travel and adventure enduros. Following the completely newly developed BMW F 750 GS and F 850 GS, which was unveiled in autumn 2017, the new F 850 GS Adventure is further expanding BMW's offering in this segment. Based on the off-road-oriented character of the F 850 GS, the new adventure should be able to show increased off-road competence and improved long-distance qualities.
The special design of the crankshaft with 90 degree lifting pin offset and 270/450 degree ignition distance is striking, which results in the new engine sound. The new motor prevents vibrations by two balancing shafts. A self-reinforcing anti-hopping coupling not only reduces the operating forces on the clutch hand lever, but also ensures an increase in driving safety by reducing the engine towing torque. The power transmission to the rear wheel is carried out via a six-speed transmission and a secondary drive now placed on the left.
